Copyright & takedowns
Amashusho exists so Rwandan rights holders get paid for their work. If something here is yours and should not be, we want to know.

How to send a notice
Write to [email protected] and include:
- A link to the exact page on Amashusho. One notice per title.
- What the work is, and enough detail to identify it — a title, a release, a broadcast date.
- How you hold the rights: are you the creator, the producer, the broadcaster, or acting for one of them?
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised.
- Your name, organisation and a contact address we can reply to.
Notices that skip the link or the basis of the claim cannot be acted on, and we will come back asking for them — which only slows things down for you.
What happens next
- We acknowledge within two working days.
- Where the claim is clear, the title is removed from browse immediately while we look at it. Its page stays reachable so anyone who paid can be told what happened.
- The channel that published it is notified with your notice attached, and can respond.
- If the claim holds, the title is taken down permanently and anyone who bought it is refunded.
- If the channel shows they hold the rights, it goes back up and we tell you why.
Repeat infringement
A channel that repeatedly publishes other people’s work loses its ability to publish. This is not a warning system with infinite patience: Amashusho only works if rights holders trust it, and a channel that abuses that costs everyone else.
If you think a takedown was wrong
Channels can dispute a takedown from Studio or by replying to the notification. Tell us what rights you hold and how — a distribution agreement, a commissioning contract, a licence. We reinstate quickly when the paperwork is there.
A note on false claims
Sending a takedown notice for work that is not yours, or to suppress something you simply dislike, is a serious matter. It takes money from a creator and our time from real claims, and we keep records of every notice we receive.
